February 07-08 Doodles

Here are some doodles from the last two days. About a third of the way through the top one, I realized that it was looking very Pascal so I just went for it. Pascal Campion isn't a bad person to look to for inspiration. I had a chance to meet him at the CTN Expo this past fall, and not only is he an amazing artist, but he's also a very nice person. I love the strong sense of story and atmosphere in his work, which I'm trying to incorporate more into my own.

Pokey the Pink Dinosaur

So back this summer I did an illustration of a kid and a pink triceratops which I uploaded a few posts back, and whether it be animation or children's book illustrations, I knew I wanted to do something with these characters. Well this is going to be my first post, hopefully of many, of my exploration of these characters, who will hopefully develop into something much more. I've currently dubbed the title of the project "Pokey the Pink Dinosaur", and here are a few fun illustrations I made while exploring the characters. Keep posted for more soon.
